Mission

Every student who visits us is trained to the highest possible standards and with world-class customer service while being treated as a friend and lifelong member of the FSSCUBA family. Without you, we could not share our love and passion for the ocean. You are our most valuable asset in communicating our mission and philosophy to the environment and other divers.

Daren Cespedes

Founder

Daren is a proud military veteran and family man. His first breath underwater was during a Discover Scuba Diving trip off a dive boat off Molokini Crater and has been hooked ever since. He was always interested in scuba diving, but growing up in Northern California, he just assumed the best diving was at some tropical island far away, he was all wrong. There is nothing like diving through the beautiful kelp forests of California. He can be found in the water with his scuba family teaching and sharing his love of the water with all those willing to learn!

Natalie Cespedes

Founder

Certified in the cold and murky waters off the coast of California, followed by a 5-day liveaboard experience in the Channel Islands! Spoiled rotten from then on, Natalie has acted on her love of the ocean.  She went on to get her instructor certification so she could share her passion for diving with others. Natalie saw a significant gap in the industry when it came to providing complete customer service as well as an honest and high-quality product to scuba enthusiasts. It seems only natural that Natalie combined her love of traveling and diving into a business.

Natalie goes above and beyond to give her students the best experience possible.

Jared Phillips

Founder

Jared’s love of all things underwater started in his early years of free diving with his father.  He grew up in Northern California which meant much of his diving took place in the cold waters of the northern CA coast. Family vacations and a home in Sacramento provided him years of opportunity to dive throughout much of the Channel Islands. Having thousands of dives logged, Jared’s happy place is teaching and sharing his love for the water with others. He takes the responsibility of instruction very seriously and wants to make sure that all students have fun learning in a safe and comfortable environment. Not on the water, Jared likes to build Jetboats.
